Dr. K. Anantha Rao is a Consultant Nephrologist and Renal Transplant Physician at KIMS Hospital, Kurnool, with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of kidney diseases, dialysis, and kidney transplantation. He completed his DNB in Nephrology at the prestigious Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi, and also holds a DNB in General Medicine, MRCP (UK), and ESENeph certification.

Over the past 10 years, he has been actively involved in providing comprehensive kidney care across Kurnool and the wider Rayalaseema region. His areas of expertise include chronic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease, resistant hypertension, glomerular diseases and vasculitis, electrolyte disorders, hemodialysis, HDF, CRRT, and complex renal transplantation.

He has been part of more than 100 kidney transplants, including ABO-incompatible, swap, and deceased-donor transplantation, and was involved in pioneering milestones such as the first pediatric ABO-incompatible kidney transplant in Andhra Pradesh and the first swap kidney transplant in Rayalaseema.

Review these terms before paying. Completing payment and booking an appointment confirms acceptance of these terms.

Online consultation consent
  • The consultation is provided online by Dr. K. Anantha Rao and is based on the history, symptoms, reports, images and other information shared by the patient or caregiver.
  • An online consultation does not replace a physical examination. Dr. K. Anantha Rao may recommend an in-person assessment, investigations or hospital care when clinically necessary.
  • This service is not for emergencies. Severe breathlessness, chest pain, seizures, loss of consciousness, very low or absent urine output, rapidly worsening swelling or any urgent concern requires immediate in-person emergency care.
  • By booking, the patient or caregiver confirms that the information provided is accurate and voluntarily consents to teleconsultation.
Cancellation, rescheduling & refunds
  • The ₹500 consultation fee is non-refundable if the patient or caregiver cancels or does not attend.
  • An appointment may be rescheduled once if requested before the booked time, subject to another suitable slot being available.
  • If Dr. K. Anantha Rao cancels or the consultation cannot be delivered from the clinic's side, the patient may choose rescheduling or a full refund.
  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on Cashfree and the patient's bank or payment provider.
Booking process
  • The booking is confirmed only after successful payment of ₹500 and selection of an available Google Calendar appointment.
  • After payment is verified, the appointment calendar will be made available so the patient can choose a date and time.
  • The confirmation and individual Google Meet link will be sent to the email address entered during booking.
  • The patient is responsible for providing an accurate, accessible email address and joining the consultation on time.
Privacy policy
  • Personal, contact and clinical information is collected only for booking, payment, consultation, follow-up and appropriate clinical records.
  • Information may be processed through Cashfree, Google Calendar, Google Meet and email services used to provide the consultation. The privacy terms of those services also apply.
  • Reasonable safeguards will be used to protect patient information, although no internet, email or video service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
  • Information will not be sold or used for unrelated marketing without consent, except when disclosure or retention is required by law or professional record-keeping obligations.
  • Patients should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information through unsecured channels.
Clinical limitations
  • Medical advice is limited by the information and image or document quality available during the online interaction.
  • A diagnosis or treatment plan may require a physical examination, investigations, referral or hospital assessment.
  • Prescriptions and recommendations will be provided only when clinically appropriate and permitted for teleconsultation.
